Update as at April 2026
The best that can be said is that the RTS appears to be continuing. However, obtaining any hard news from the Government, the Environment Agency, Surrey County Council or the RTS team itself is proving to be very difficult. The latest update from the RTS team itself is from May 2025, see above. There are indications that the scheme might be delayed by two and a half years – instead of an application for the Development Consent Order being made in late 2025, it would instead be made in Summer 2028.
