Once again a good turnout at the Lucan Pavilion on 20 May for the 2026 AGM.
The formal meeting covered the usual AGM topics, plus a final step to finalise the constitution change made at the 2025 AGM.
Committee members gave an update on a range of subjects including forthcoming LRA events (Open Gardens Day, Village Fair, Quiz Night, and Film Night), the River Thames Scheme, restoration of the Littleton Lane gravel pit, and current local planning applications.
Tribute was paid to Michelle Purnell, who was standing down as a committee member after several years of service to the LRA and Laleham. Otherwise there was no real change in appointments to the committee, or to Officer and Trusteee posts. For details of these posts click here
After the formal meeting there was a lively discussion, mainly relating to road works. Local councillors were (unfortunately) not present to join in this, it is believed due to an important meeting that evening in the Spelthorne Council Chamber.
