Open Gardens Day 2026

Saturday 6 June: Despite mixed weather, about 100 people turned out to visit the private gardens that some Laleham residents had very kindly opened to the public. The visitors followed a map that identified not only the gardens but also features of general interest within Laleham. Venues included All Saints Church (tea, cakes and a guided tour!) and Laleham Pond (which is rarely open to the public).

This event used to be held most years prior to Covid, but has not been held again until this year. It is an excellent way for residents to get to know one another, and explore parts of Laleham that are perhaps new to them. Further, visitors paid a fee for the maps, the income from which goes to the LRA and is then spent on, for example, the hanging flower baskets.
