This year’s Quiz Night was held on Saturday 11 October, with a spledid turnout of over 75 competitors. The Village Hall was full. Quizmaster Laurence was in excellent form. The Village Fair was held on Saturday 5th July. There was a good attendance despite rather blustery conditions, with occasional rain. This year’s hanging flower baskets were installed at the end of June. You can see these installed on lamp posts in the centre of Laleham Village. The cost of this was fully funded by the Laleham Residents Association – about £3000, which covers both installation and maintenance. You can donate to the LRA to offset

The annual Rememembrance Day event was held on Sunday 10 November at the Laleham War Memorial. This attracted a large crowd, including many children. Attended by about 55 people, this year’s Quiz Night was a great success, raising about £600 for the LRA. Many thanks to Quizmaster Laurence Curtis, and thanks also for the use of Laleham Village Hall and to those who contributed raffle prizes. It’s quite likely that there will be another Quiz Night next year. So

The River Thames rose to high levels in January 2024, following extensive rain upstream. Fortunately this was not as serious as in 2014, and lasted for only a few days. Once again the sound of horses’ hooves could be heard thundering around Laleham Village Hall. Saturday 25 November was 2023’s Race Night, attended by 32 enthusiastic punters. Overall the event made almost £500 profit. Such income helps to fund the LRA’s various outgoings, such as the hanging flower baskets. Thank you to all who attended,
