Flooding in Laleham – January 2024

The River Thames rose to high levels in January 2024, following extensive rain upstream. Fortunately this was not as serious as in 2014, and lasted for only a few days. Nevertheless, some roads were closed, and a few small boats moored alongside Thames Side were destroyed or submerged.
Images as below:
– Thames Side flooded
– Fields near Penton Hook Lock flooded
– Boat submerged, Thames Side. Only the mast is visible
– Boat destroyed, Thames Side near Blacksmith’s Lane
