A highly successful outdoor Film Night was held on Friday 8 September at the Village Recreation Ground.
Several hundred people including many children attended. Some estimates put the number at 600. Every possible car parking space was full (91). The bar in the Lucan Pavilion and the ice cream van both did a roaring trade.
The film, “The Greatest Showman”, was selected as being suitable for children. Indeed many children with parents came direct from school well before the film started – which of course could not happen until it was dark. The film was projected onto a very large inflatable screen.
During the evening a bucket collection raised about £390 in aid of the LRA’s funds. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
